Drift Away Cottage, a recently remodeled and newly decorated, designer owned beach cottage, is available for short term vacation rentals.
This home was a 5 star vacation rental when we purchased it in January 2021. We have made a LOT of improvements to this home, so our goal is for guests to love our home even more.
The cottage has a separate den and living room, a large laundry room, a screened porch, a dining room that seats six, a beautiful large kitchen with new appliances, and a breakfast bar for quick casual meals.
The cottage is a ranch-style home on one story (no hauling luggage up stairs). Our cottage is located in a charming neighborhood, in a central location, that is close to everything. We are 1.7 miles from an awesome public beach where you’ll find plenty of parking and restrooms. We are a short walk to popular area restaurants and shopping (Southern Soul BBQ and Redfern Village).
There is so much to do on St. Simons Island! Relax outside on our screened porch or under the covered pergola in our private fenced yard. Go for walks in our pretty neighborhood and check out the beautiful homes and mossy oak trees. Go kayaking in the marsh. Rent bikes or rent a golf cart and ride around the island. Spend the day on the beach, play a round of golf, or shop until you drop. Play pickle ball, tennis or other sports at the park. Tour the pier and window shop. Go out to brunch or have a leisurely lunch at one of the delicious local restaurants. Take the family out for dinner and ice cream. The possibilities for entertainment are endless in the Golden Isles.
We have a desk in the living room, should you need to work remotely during your getaway. Computer and accessories not provided.
PLEASE NOTE OUR HOUSE RULES:
• A maximum of 6 guests are permitted.
• NO PETS. NO EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS. • NO SMOKING. NO VAPING.
• NO PARTIES. • Primary renter must be present during reservation (no 3rd party rentals for underage or different guests).
• A separate rental agreement will be required and must be signed and returned prior to check-in date.
• Guests are responsible for any damage to our property or home.
OTHER NOTES:
Our home does not have a pool. We have a large partially fenced in yard. The yard has an outdoor covered pergola for grilling and relaxation and a sitting area with a firepit and Adirondack chairs. Bikes and golf carts are not provided, but we are happy to provide information for reputable area rental companies. The home is monitored with security cameras on the exterior.
Our home has been updated with a HALO-LED™ whole home and air purification system. This system treats every cubic inch of air conditioned space, reducing airborne and surface microbials, bacteria, viruses, mold, odors, VOCs, allergens, dust, and particulate matter.
