Stone's Throw is a perfect base for all seasons! Only few minutes away from skiing Cannon, Loon and Bretton Woods, snowboarding, skidoo trails,snowshoeing and hiking, this beautiful and spacious home is on five acres in the heart of north country fun. Vacation time is precious; you'll be in the center of all the region has to offer. Our home is just “a stone’s throw” from outdoor adventures, as well as the shopping, restaurants, cinema, brewery, and award winning beauty of downtown Littleton.

The space
This vacation home is all about creating a retreat that maximizes both comfort and convenience. It's the perfect base for trying lots of different adventures and locations without adding lots of car time.
Stone's Throw is close to winter sports in multiple locations. In less than 20 minutes, you can be in Franconia Notch, at the slopes of Cannon Mountain, one of the premier ski destinations in New England. Throughout Franconia Notch, you'll find winter hiking and walks for all abilities. After your time on the slopes, you can grab a bite to eat and maybe a pint of locally brewed beer on your short trip back through Littleton before you collapse into an easy chair in front of our beautiful gas fireplace.
If snowmobiling or snowshoeing is your sport, there are multiple trails less than 10 minutes away from the house that will get you out and enjoying the outdoors. The Ammonoosuc Rail Trail runs through Littleton, and has miles and miles of great riding or walking along the river.
Less than 4 minutes away, at Remich Park, there is a small skating ring and a large hill for sliding.
The Rocks Estate Tree Farm is less than 10 minutes away, and offers miles of walks and cross country ski trails as well as a beautiful cut your own Christmas Tree opportunity.
If you head toward Crawford Notch, half an hour away you'll find Bretton Woods offers excellent down hill and cross country trails, as well as the opportunity to have lunch or dinner at The Mount Washington.
Twenty minutes away, in Twin Mountain, you'll find an extensive snowmobile trail system.
Whichever way your turn, at Stone's Throw, you'll be surrounded by things to keep you busy on snowy days before heading back to all that Littleton has to offer as you settle in for the evening.

The house features a modern kitchen and cozy interior with beautiful gas fireplaces in the living room and dining room.
Each room has large windows that fill the spaces with light while letting you watch the changing seasons outside.
Spring, Summer and Fall are also magical at Stone's Throw. In less than 20 minutes, you can easily reach majestic mountain trails and scenic drives. You might choose hiking or biking in Franconia Notch, or go even closer to home to find a large variety of walking, hiking, biking, four wheeling and snowmobiling opportunities. We've provided two bicycles, with additional bicycles available for rent.
Love the water? We’re surrounded by a myriad of lakes and ponds just minutes away from the doorstep. With a stay at Stone’s Throw, you can be swimming, fishing or boating at NH State Parks like Forest or Echo Lake, or Moore Reservoir within fifteen minutes. We've even provided two kayaks for your use, and have a limited number of additional kayaks and canoes for rent, as well as options for transport and even tours to get you on the water.
The outdoors beckons you to enjoy more solitude or family time, with beautiful gardens, lots of comfortable and sunny seating, shady garden nooks, a gas grill and a fire pit area perfect for sitting outside and watching the stars and counting fireflies. The lawn is set to enjoy, with volleyball and badminton, bocce and soccer balls ready for family fun.
Guest access
We provide two pairs of snowshoes for your enjoyment. There are also sleds, and lots of nearby hills such as at Remich Park less than 4 minutes away, that are perfect for sliding down, even in the evening.
In the non-winter months, we keep two complimentary kayaks, paddles and adult life vests on site so that you can maximize your vacation time on the water.
A limited number of additional kayaks and canoes, as well as a kayak roof rack are available for rent. We are also happy to arrange transportation and pickup services whenever we have availability.
If you’re new to kayaking or canoeing, and would prefer a lesson, or you want to get the most out of your time on the water and see the marsh flora and fauna, we can provide guided tours of the marshes, ponds and backwaters of New Hampshire.
We also keep two complimentary bicycles on site for your use, with a limited number of additional bicycles available for rent.
Our goal is truly to get you outdoors, enjoying the beauty of our mountains and valleys. We're available to help with information, ideas and assistance.
We live on the adjacent property. You're welcome to follow the path through the trees to enjoy our three acre meadow for walking, picnicking and enjoying the views across Crawford Notch to Franconia Notch and the Presidentials.
