This private home was featured as R.I. dream vacation home in 2010. Bright open spacious contemporary barn style home w/an artist's eclectic influence. House includes a large L shape wrap around screened porch, great for entertaining, and relaxation, and in evening (when all is quiet) one can hear the ocean and feel the southwest breeze. The porch leads out to an outdoor Zen shower. House has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms and one half bath. Much of the living area is open space.The kitchen is gallery style w/ stainless steel appliances, light wood cabinets, butcher- block counters, some open shelving and pine floors.The half bath and laundry room are off the kitchen.There is a one bedroom w/a full bath on the first floor.The fireplace is the artist's design a unique mixture of cooper and zinc w/stone & medals. The white bleached moose antlers placed over the fire place ( definitely add a bit of character and completing the look of this fireplace (they are on a dropped copper mount used as a conversation attraction were shed naturally and repurposed as an eco friendly form of art.)The lighting fixtures are signed hand blown glass on salvage industrial medal throughout the house. The owners have filled the walls w/local eclectic original art.The home is staged w/a mixture of art, vintage antiques, and collective decor.
Stairs to second floor have cable-steel railings, which give a nautical feel. there are two stairways , one leads you to an large open loft area used as a combined family room, office, exercise room, it also serves as the artist studio. The master bedroom w/ it's own master bathroom is located on a separate stair way w/ a small catwalk & seating area entrance. The master bath has a separate walk in shower w/ pebble beach/stone floor, the vanity has 2 vessel sinks. The soaking jet tub is built in and surrounded by travertine which adds an organic touch under a large skylight. Home is at the end of a private lane adjacent to a three acre wild flower medow in season. .... THIS HOME IS NOT TO B CONCIDERED A BEACH HOUSE BUT A PRIVATE GET AWAY HOME W/ARTISTIC FLAIR .
